Health does not only mean disease-free, but being healthy, mentally, physically, socially, and other aspects.

In this modern era of 9 to 5 jobs, presentations, continuous scrolling, meetings, and instant noodles. Do we even have time for health and/or fitness?  According to the present scenario, every person wants to stay fit and live a healthy lifestyle. But most of us are unaware. Unaware of the amount of physical activity, rest, and nutrition that our body requires on a day-to-day basis.

“Health” is a very overstated word and yet, very understated when it comes to its implementation.

Gyms turn out to be very fascinating to most of us. But little do we know about the actual fitness we all need. It is important to start from zero and begin with small steps for a healthy lifestyle. Talking about health in the broad sense, it’s not within just one’s body but health has several classifications, too.

Let’s talk about mental health

  •       Mental health is among the most avoided topics in most of our houses. This is mostly because, the majority of our parents, elders, and peers label. They label depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc. as “pagalpan”. These are something that can never impact us in the long run, according to the ignorant population. In this modern era and its rush, its high time we realize. Our mental health is just as important as our physical. No matter how healthy your body is, if your mind is not relaxed, it impacts your overall health. This causes severe mental and physical ailments.
  •       Depression is taken lightly very often. But, if depression is left untreated for too long, it is more life-threatening than any disease.

Now, mental trauma could be caused by many factors such as –

Financial stress, exam stress, social issues, personal issues, and so on and so forth. We never know what goes on in the complicated mesh of neurons we have inside our skulls! Anything can impact an individual’s brain and emotions. In fact, the failure or incapability to deal with several circumstances can cause people to commit suicides.

We believe in solutions and helping hands. Thus, talking about this problem and not discussing the solution is unfair, isn’t it?

  • spirituality,
  • meditation,
  • being expressive to our close ones,
  • writing own journals,
  • practicing hobbies and
  • maintaining a balanced diet.

According to the facts and figures-

According to estimates, 194.4 million people in India are malnourished.

Despite various government schemes and projects, there is still a huge population that is malnourished. The worst part about this is that they are, also, unaware of their body condition.

If we talk about the current COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest data reported by National authorities –

Total new cases in India are on rising every day. Globally, we have already crossed a 12 million mark as on 10th July 2020. This clearly portrays the fact of how humans are lagging behind when it comes to a strong immune system.

Impact of COVID-19 on overall health

As we all know, the entire world is currently suffering from the outbreak of harmful coronavirus disease. India is a severely affected and densely populated country. Here, even after the various safety measures taken by the government, many people are victims to the virus. The main reason for this plight is the low immunity and lack of vitamin C in our bodies. Before this pandemic, many people were unaware of the major importance of various nutrients in their bodies. Such as proteins minerals vitamins, etc.

But now, everyone has understood the importance of a Balanced diet, hygiene, and sanitation. People are including plenty of Vitamin C rich food in their diet. They practice all possible safety measures to prevent infection.

Strong immunity strong well-being

A strong immune system can fight all sorts of viruses that might cause infection.

The coronavirus outbreak has taught people several methods to boost up their immune system. People are trying different types of immunity booster drinks made from simple ingredients in their own kitchen. This is commendable. Nevertheless, this is the time for all of us to realize. We must not restrict our health and fitness to just until this pandemic ends. All these measures require us to inculcate in our day to day lifestyle to stay healthy and stay fit.

Remember, a healthy lifestyle leads to a happy lifestyle!
