Fashion Trends That Will Rule 2021

It’s time for 2021! Getting into a new year means more than just revolutions. Since 2021 has already begun, it’s time to pull new things out of the closet. We all know that fashion is cyclical. The previous year came up with some really strange and daring styles, and now everyone is excited to see what 2021 is going to bring. Are we going to see some more plastic trends, or are things going to go totally crazy? The plastic trend was pretty unconventional. This is for sure, 2021 is going to be a year of bold styles, groundbreaking combinations, and lots of fashion fun.

If you’re the type of person that loves to wear the popular stuff and be the fashion-forward friend of your group, here are few trends that you have to try, before the year is over. Some of these trends are amazing.

Trench Coats

Trench coats are outstanding, but this year you may also see some sleeveless versions and other out-of-the-box styles of it. The updated trench coat is a welcome addition this year.

Tunics

Tunics have always been everyone’s favorite. While being super comfortable, this timeless style has tons of versatility. And the best thing about tunics is, they look good on any body type and person, so what are you waiting for?

Bold Eye Makeup

If you have gotten too comfortable with your makeup routine and are ready to experiment with something new, swap neutral for bold. A classic smokey eye will always be acceptable, but shades of purple, blue, green, pink, and yellow may be extremely flattering as well.

Colorful Leather

Black leather jackets will never go out of fashion, but have you ever thought about purchasing a colorful leather jacket? Creams, browns, and tans are subtle colors to try, if you aren’t ready for red, orange, or teal leather.

Polka Dots

Remember polka dot dresses from the 50s? What happened to those? Well, they’re coming back!! You can go with a polka dot dress, skirt, or top, you’ll always be ahead of everyone else, in fashion.

Pale Blue

Of course, pastels will never go out of style, but this is the time for pale blue, in every form, from patterns to solid color. This is just perfect, and a must-try thing for this year.

Crochet

This is a trend which many people will love—crochet. Crochet is so in, for 2021, from the shirts to scarves and dresses. This thick fabric will be perfect for winter. Just make sure to wear something under it!!

Mixed Florals

Whoever said one can’t mix florals, didn’t think about what can really be done by mixing two different floral patterns. This springy and summery look may seem odd at first, but trust me, it’ll grow on you.

Black and White

It’s time to bring back the classic. This year, wearing black and white will give you a bold and trendy look. Whether it’s a dress or a white shirt with black pants, this color combo will be amazing. It’s timeless and beautiful.

Untraditional Color Palettes

It’s time to ditch the boring pastels and opt for a more untraditional hue. According to the ramp walk at Fashion Week, new shades are arising. Tangerine, peach and pistachio are the shades, now we should look for.

Graphic Stripes

Instead of normal stripes, it’s all about the graphic stripes. These designs have tons of colors and features, that are going to be huge this year. You can wear it as a dress or top. You may even carry accessories, with graphic stripes; it’s all up to you but one thing which is for sure is that you’ll be totally ‘in’.

Power Pants

The ‘80s are making a comeback, and that means it’s time to dust off your power pants (and your power suit!). These pants say, “I’m in control and ruling it,” and that’s a message you can get on board with, especially considering the last year.

Sweaters

Sweaters are going to have a cool and fashionable 2021 moment. Thin, drapey sweater dresses and knits are going to become a staple in your closet because of their effortlessly cool look, and super-comfy feel.

Puffy Sleeves

Sculpted shoulders and puffy sleeves have the power to change your silhouette drastically. Dresses, blouses, and sweaters, all these can be perfect with this distinct detailing and will keep your look trendy and bold.

Hair Scarves

Nowadays, the most fashionable way to wear a silk scarf is to wear it in your hair. Whether you wrap it around your pony, wear it as a headband, weave it into your braid, or drape it over your head like a vintage movie star, you’ll be accessorized accordingly.

Power Lips

Classic and bold red lips will never go out of style, and will continue to be fashion-forward. But, if you already rock a red lipstick regularly, and if you want to go for a change, try a bold shade of plum, black, or orange.

Feathery Skirts

I am not sure where this one came from. Maybe it’s from the ‘50s or ‘80s trends that are becoming so popular nowadays. There’s always the option of going with a full-color feather skirt, the neutrals are probably your best bet.

Playful Accessories

Don’t be afraid to over-accessorize. Statement bags, bear boots, faux fur stole, square-toed shoes, and mary jane pumps will be huge trend in accessories in 2021. Less isn’t always more.

Dramatic Collars

A prominent trend of 2021 will be the dramatic collar. To create interesting effects, tops, dresses, and outerwear, you can utilize this fashion craze. The over-the-top ruffled collars will be the latest and greatest neckline.

Slingback Heels

Slingbacks will be the perfect footwear, as you move from 2020 to 2021. Their plus point is that they come in a plethora of colors and textures, which can make them favorite of all.
