Ramayana is an epic that begins from a family, tells us how to uphold a relationship, how to run an empire, and how to be the epitome of greatness. The journey of Ramayana began in one of the holiest and legendary cities in the world,  Ayodhya. Austerity, love, religion, ritual, sacrifices, and justice begins from Ayodhya.

Did you try to understand why our epic Ramayana fascinates everyone? This is because it conveys to us what family, love, duty, and sacrifice means. During the lockdown, when we’re struggling with many hardships, the Ramayana was retelecasted on the TV screen.  The retelecasting of the Ramayana broke the viewership record in the whole world.

Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya. He was the eldest son of King Dashrat and had four brothers- Shree Ram, Lakshmana, Bharat, and Shatrughan.

Shree Ram was an icon with ideal qualities that everyone wants to develop in their life.

Ayodhya has been a topic of historical, political, social, and religious debate for the last 28 years, The birth spot of Lord Rama was marked by a Ram temple. Mughal emperor Babur gave orders to demolish the temple and had Babri Masjid constructed over it.

The Pride Moment For Ayodhya


A great moment of pride and joy came for all Indians when after 500 years Lord Rama returned to his home. In a unanimous judgment, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Ram Mandir on 9th November 2019. This was the most awaited moment for not only Indians but also for the rest of the world.

The most historic moment was when our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the temple foundation stone on 5th August 2020. It was a historic day for all the Indians and the world.

Another proud moment was when our Lord Rama displayed at Times Square in New York on the auspicious day of the ” Bhoomi Poojan”.

We also felt proud when the First Lady of South Korea, Kim Jon suki came to celebrate Deepotasav and chanted Jai Shree Ram.

Our PM was addressed the Ayodhya vasi along with the whole of India with the words “Aaj Pura Bharat ram maai hai”. Everyone felt these lines deeply.


Living in Ayodhya has become a proud feeling when we know that our city is influencing the whole world. 

We should learn from the holy city of  Ayodhya because it’s the birthplace of Lord Rama. He is the epitome of truth,  justice, sacrifice, and his tranquil nature. Lord Rama established his kingdom with no discrimination and always showed love to everyone. We need to learn and apply these things in our lives to establish an ideal country with a beautiful soul. 

Let us feel and celebrate the serenity and revival of Ayodhya through the reconstruction of the Ram Mandir.
