We all are aware of the patriarchal culture. Not only India as a society but the entire world has been dominated by the patriarchal society for a very long time. Women were suppressed by men who made them feel inferior to them.  Today, the future of women seems to get brighter. But the increasing violence and crimes speak against it. However, we all know that Women are strong and skilled beings. Yes, women are the future of the country.

Despite making every possible contribution, from giving birth to taking care of the child’s upbringing and domestic chores, women have always proved themselves to be the most strong – physically, emotionally, and practically.

“If you educate a man you educate an individual but if you educate a woman you educate the entire family.”

I am not demeaning men. I am just putting the truth. We have also experienced it in our day-to-day lives. Although men do all sorts of contributions for the safety of the family, women are the one’s taking care of the household. Women create the future and nurture the family.

Again, the right to education should never be restricted towards a gender. But still, even today women are deprived of education. Many parents never feel the need to educate girls. They always prioritize men in every aspect – be it access to schools, going out for having fun, or even living their lives the way they want.

Men, Women and Dominance

Men were the reason for the suppression of women in our society. In addition to that, even some women with orthodox mentality have contributed towards the upliftment of patriarchy.

Mothers always teach their daughters to stay at home. “Behave a certain way and always do what you are told to.” Ironically, they never scold or stop their boys from disrespecting girls.

Women have been fighting for their rights for a very long time. Here, the need for feminism and women empowerment arise. These words have created a buzz not only on social media but also all over the world.

But the main question that arises is –

Why do women need feminism?

Why is there a need for empowering women??

Does anyone ever talk about empowering men? No, right? It is because men have access to all the benefits they want! It is so stupid yet so ironic to see that even today people wish to have boy child and not a girl child. Although men do contribute to form a baby, no one can deny the universal truth that only a female can give birth. Still, people want a “boy’ because who would spend money on educating a girl? Then again, spend on her marriage too? Why such lavish marriage? Because Marriage is a compulsion, not a choice!

Talking about marriage, the fact that the dowry system has still not been abolished from India really pisses me off.

In the eyes of people, “men are capable of earning for the family”!  Why is their a need for dowry? Or should I call it beggary?

A girl leaves her parental house while marriage is perhaps the biggest sacrifice parents do! Yet, dowry payment is still demanded. But since the prevailing patriarchal society has ruled for a very long time, The situations have very much changed in the current scenario.

Women have access to their rights and are no more suppressed to stay shut. Be it a girl or a grown-up woman, everyone has learnt to raise their voices which have changed the mindset of the society to a great extent.

The Future for Women

Various laws stating women’s rights have very much improved the situation

Women can create a brighter future! All women need is respect, support and encouragement and they will sacrifice everything for the happiness of their loved ones.

Going back at the mythological times

Goddess Durga aka goddess SHAKTI Has shown her different “AVATARS” as a woman. She has shown the world the different beautiful sides of a woman.

Who is a woman?  Who is she?

She is a daughter whose innocence would mesmerize you.

A sister who would care for you even if you don’t reciprocate your love.

She is a wife who would give you all her love.

A mother who would protect you from the cruel world.

She could be a ” ROOP OF KALI” that could even punish you for all the harassment and disrespect you’ve given her.

Lastly, she is woman who can bear everything yet be the strongest all while wearing a smile.

This world is incomplete without the existence and contribution of women. The future is nothing but women.

The end is near if the girl child is neglected. The goddess of wealth and prosperity is a woman. Women are our future, women are the future!
